MORE THAN MUSIC is a Benefit Concert for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, hosted by the Bobby John Henry Bakery. 100% of all proceeds from this event will go toward helping persons living with Muscular Dystrophy in the Middle Tennessee and Central Kentucky areas.
Monies raised will help fund research of the disease, help provide much needed services for patients such as: occupational therapy, medical equipment and/or repairs, education,
transitional support, summer camp and so much more.
Please visit mda.org to learn more about their services.
The Nashville based More Than Music MDA team is not only working hard to make this year's event successful, but is also planning for the future. The continuation of this annual event will grow, raising more funds and awareness, year after year. We thank you for your support.
SILENT AUCTION
The event will hold a silent auction, with the auction items being on display the night of the concert.
The items will vary in value, but the generosity of the bidders will be priceless to the persons the monies will benefit.
Other activities are planned to help increase the funds raised, as well as provide enjoyment for those who participate.
These additional activities, some being held prior to and some the night of the concert, will be posted & advertised,
allowing the public to offer its support as participants.
If your business or company would like to donate an item or service to be auctioned off, please contact us through the message box at the bottom of this page.
Nancy lives here in Middle Tennessee and frequently volunteers in our office to reach out to donors and supporters of MDA to share her experience as a person with muscle disease, what MDA has done for her, and to share her personal appreciation for the support that we get.
From Nancy:
I’ve been involved with MDA, outings, summer camps, poster child, telethon, clinic… as long as I can remember. Over the years things have really changed. The one thing that hasn’t changed is the need to fund help for patients with muscular dystrophy. In May 2012, my life changed with the wonderful addition of my service dog Wilson! Wilson has over 40 things he is trained to help me do, from picking up dropped items to barking or going for help if I fall. Wilson and I found out about the MDA Muscle Walk and feel lucky to have something we can do to pay it forward for all the help MDA has given over the past years from summer camp when I was a child to the loaner closet and help paying for equipment repairs needed for me to get around. Thank you for participating in this year’s Executive Lock-Up and helping patients just like me!
Thanks, Nancy
